Here’s some tough love I share with my clients often:

If you don’t sell, you don’t sell.

I know that sounds almost too simple. But so many of us are building and creating and showing up and doing all the things — and skirting right around the actual act of selling. Hoping people will find it. Waiting until it feels more comfortable. Telling ourselves we’ll pitch when the timing is better, the offer is more polished, we feel more ready.

And here’s what I’ve noticed — in myself and in the women I work with — selling is one of the biggest places where all of that “I’m too much” conditioning shows up. We fear we’re being pushy or worry that wanting money in exchange for our work somehow makes us greedy (it doesn’t). And then you shrink right at the moment when you could be extending an invitation.

This week’s challenge: sell something every day.

It doesn’t have to be a big swing. It can be an Instagram story, a post, a DM, a conversation, a direct offer to someone you already know needs what you have. One genuine, human act of inviting someone into your work — every single day this week.

The businesses that are making sales every day are those that are selling every day.

And every sale you make isn’t just money coming in. It’s another person getting access to your medicine. Your work. The thing only you can offer.

Watch what comes up as you do this. Dance with it. Move with it. Come back to the overwhelm practice to help you move through it. And then channel that energy right into the pitch.

And when you make your first one — regardless of the outcome — celebrate it! Strengthening the muscle of selling more is the first step to more sales.
