If you ever feel like you’re juggling all the things, and not quite doing it well, this week’s focus is for you.
That’s actually how I recently described managing my growing business while also raising two small humans.
Before kids (when the load was manageable enough to handle myself) I felt like I was playing catch for years, this comfortable back and forth rhythm.
Now all of a sudden I’m mid-air with six balls and I don’t know how to juggle this many balls yet and it’s uncomfortable and a little bit embarrassing.
That feeling? Like you’re about to drop a ball? Or maybe like you already did drop one?
That’s not a sign something is wrong.
The chaos is a sign a new creation is coming through.
I’ve been saying this in women’s circles and mastermind rooms for the last couple of years and I want to say it here too, clearly, because I think we need to hear it more than once: creation often comes from chaos. Not despite it but because of it.
And the confusion, the all-over-the-place-ness, the what-is-even-happening feeling — that can be a sign that something new is coming through. A new idea, a new identity, a new way of being that your nervous system is still learning to hold.
And here’s the distinction that shifted something in me, and I think it might do the same for you:
I don’t know is different from I don’t know how.
So often when we say “I don’t know” — about the next offer, the next step, the right decision — the truer thing is actually “I don’t know how yet.” And those are completely different statements.
One closes the door and sends you into a spiral.
The other opens up space for creativity, for asking for help, for trusting that the path reveals itself as you move.
That feeling of being all over the place — scattered, spinning, too many things, nothing landing — can actually be a sign that your nervous system is starting to regulate to a bigger container.
Your system is learning how to be seen by more people, have your work reach farther, your medicine creating bigger waves in the world. You are still learning to hold what you’ve been calling in. And that process is inherently disorienting before that level of visibility, income, andimpact becomes natural.
The opposite of confusion – certainty – doesn’t come from knowing all the answers. It comes from self-trust.
Self trust is that deep, body-level knowing that says I will lead myself. I will make decisions that are true for me. And that surety is something other people feel. It’s what makes a nervous system exhale in your presence. It’s what makes people say yes to working with you, following you, trusting you with their growth.
You can be in the middle of total chaos and still be that person. In fact, you might need to be in the chaos to become her.
So this week we’re working with the chaotic confusion that can surface when we are growing and evolving. Our goal isn’t to resolve it or stop it – but to find out what it’s actually trying to tell you.
Underneath the spiral, there’s almost always a clarity that has been waiting for you to get still enough to hear her.
Tomorrow, we will dive into the practice. Become a paid subscriber to ensure you have access to this practice.
