New Moon in Gemini Ritual

A Ritual for the Story You're Ready to Rewrite

Gemini is the sign of the twins, the storyteller, the witness — the one who already knows that life isn’t linear and that we don’t have to understand everything before we let ourselves want it.

Aries gave us the spark to begin and Taurus rooted us back in the body, and now Gemini opens up the curious, communicative middle space, the place where stories get turned over and rewritten, where new perspectives slip in through the side door, where we get to ask whether the thing we’ve been telling ourselves is actually true or just well-rehearsed.

After the intensity of eclipse weather and all the recalibration that came with it, this lunation arrives soft. It just wants you to dream a little, without pressure, without needing any of it to make sense yet.

So during this new moon, we’re going to do something deceptively simple. We’re going to listen for the story.

The story you’ve been telling yourself about why you can’t have the thing you actually want. Why it isn’t the right time. Why you’re not the right person for it. Why someone else gets to and you don’t. The story that’s been running so long in the background you may have stopped noticing you were the one telling it.

Because here’s what Gemini knows: stories can change. The one you’ve been carrying about your worth, your timing, your money, your capacity — it isn’t fixed. You can hold it in your hands, turn it over, and decide to tell it differently.

For this ritual, you’ll need:

  • About 20 minutes in a quiet, private space

  • A journal and something to write with

  • A candle

  • Something that opens up your senses — a crystal, an essential oil, music, the window cracked open — whatever helps you feel curious and a little playful

Light your candle. Let this time be just for you. Let yourself dream without holding back, and try not to intellectualize what comes up. Whatever surfaces is exactly right.

After you've sat with the ritual — how are you feeling? Take some time to reflect on what surfaced and let yourself continue to write for as long as it feels good.
