Yesterday we talked about what Overwhelm is at it’s core: a feeling of “too much.”
Today we move with it and teach your body how not to shut down when you meet the edge of your current capacity.
This is where the real work happens — in letting your body actually feel it, express it, and transmute this feeling into something generative. This practice is going to ask you to do something that might feel counterintuitive at first: we’re going to turn the volume up on overwhelm before we move through it.
Because what we resist to feel, we continue to carry and what we’re willing to feel — fully, without flinching — we get to release or learn from.
A few things before you press play:
Find a space where you have a little room to move if you can. You might want to stand, sink, sway, stomp — let your body do what it needs to do. There’s no wrong way to move through this.
And if at any point this feels uncomfortable — good. You’re doing it right.
