So often when we say we want to make more money, we stop there. We treat it like the end of the sentence.
But money is never just money.
It’s always a portal to something else.
I don’t know about you, but when I let myself really sit with what more money means for me, it’s not abstract. It’s the Christy Dawn dress — sustainably made, $400, and worth every penny — that I actually buy without the guilt spiral. It’s the grocery run where I never once think about the total. It’s spoiling my family with the kind of vacation we remember forever. There’s nothing wrong with that. There’s nothing frivolous or shallow about wanting your life to feel easeful in those tangible, embodied ways.
This is your internal why — the permission slip to want more for yourself, for your family, for the life you’re living right now.
Write it down.
Not as a vision board platitude, but as a few words that remind your body what this feels like. Let yourself feel the overflow.
And then — because I know you, and I know if you’re here, you’re not just in it for you — there’s the bigger why. The external one. The one that connects your desire to the world stage.
What does it mean if more money is in your hands? Maybe it’s the number of lives you impact through your business. Maybe it’s the nonprofit you finally get to start. Maybe it’s the generosity you get to practice without hesitation, the donations you make without checking your account first.
Your overflow becomes their overflow.
When in reality, your desire for more isn’t selfish — it’s the most generous thing you can do. Because the world doesn’t need you small. It needs you expanded, resourced, overflowing. It needs you to transmute that hunger for more into impact, into contribution, into the bigger picture you know you’re here for.
So before we go any further: what is your why? The internal one and the external one. Write them both down. Let them orient you.
And if you want the bonus? Claim it publicly. Comment below. Post it. Share it with your people. Let the world see what you’re building toward.
If you’re here, reading this, I know you’re not made for less.
You’re made for more.
